1. Cleaning of combing roller bearings

When disassembling and repairing spherical roller bearings, first record the appearance of the FAG bearing, confirm the remaining amount of lubricant, and wash the bearing after sampling and inspecting the lubricant used.As a cleaning agent, gasoline and kerosene are commonly used.

The cleaning of the removed bearings is divided into coarse cleaning and fine washing. In the container, the metal mesh bottom is first placed so that the FAG bearing does not directly contact the dirt of the container.During rough cleaning, if the bearing is rotated with dirt, attention should be paid.In the coarse cleaning oil, use a brush to remove grease and adhesion. After roughly cleaning, transfer to fine washing.

Fine washing is the careful cleaning of spherical roller bearings while rotating in the cleaning oil.In addition, the cleaning oil should be kept clean frequently.

2. Maintenance and judgment of bearings

In order to determine whether the disassembled spherical roller bearings can be reused, it is necessary to check after the bearings are washed, and carefully check the state of the raceway surface, rolling surface, and mating surface, the wear of the cage, the increase in the clearance of the FAG bearing, and the presence or absence of abnormalities related to the decrease in dimensional accuracy.For non-separated small ball bearings, use one hand to support the inner ring horizontally, and rotate the outer ring to confirm whether it is smooth.

Separate bearings such as spherical roller bearings can check the raceway surface of the rolling element and the outer ring separately.

Because large bearings cannot be rotated by hand, pay attention to the appearance of rolling elements, racetracks, cages, and ribs. The higher the importance of FAG bearings, the more careful they must be checked.

The judgment of whether it can be reused is determined by considering the degree of bearing, mechanical properties, importance, operating conditions, and the period from the next maintenance.However, if there are the following defects, it can no longer be used, and new spherical roller bearings must be replaced:

(a) Cracks or gaps on any one of the inner ring, outer ring, rolling element, and cage;

(b) There is a fracture on any one of the ferrule and rolling element;

(c) There are significant injuries on the raceway surface, ribs, and rolling elements.;

(d) The cage is worn significantly, or the rivets are significantly loose;

(e) There is rust or injury on the raceway surface and rolling elements;

(f) There are serious indentation and marking marks on the raceway surface and rolling elements;

(g) There is obvious creep on the inner diameter surface of the inner ring or the outer diameter surface of the outer ring;

(h) Obvious discoloration caused by heat;

(i) The damage to the sealing ring or dust cover of the bearing sealed with grease is obvious.

The specific reasons are insufficient consideration of use and lubrication, as well as foreign body intrusion, bearing assembly errors and shaft deflection, insufficient research on shafts and bearing boxes, etc. It can be said that these reasons overlap with each other. There are many cases.Therefore, we recommend that you choose the size of the bearing according to the life formula of the FAG bearing, and on the basis of fully understanding the machine used in spherical roller bearings, the conditions of use, and the structure of the periphery of the bearing, if you can figure out the situation before and after the accident, combined with the situation of the combing roller bearing and various reasons for investigation, you can prevent the recurrence of similar accidents.
